Senior Microsoft Business Applications Consultant (Dynamics 365 & Power Platform)

Role Description

You will be working directly with enterprise and mid-market clients, translating operational challenges into structured Microsoft solutions, and producing the artefacts that make implementations stick. Additionally, the role involves delivering strategic advice and long-term solutions to enhance client operations and ensure technological alignment with business goals.

Responsibilities

Lead structured discovery workshops with business and operations stakeholders, mapping their processes to Microsoft capabilities and identifying the right solution approach.

Own the end-to-end solution across a Microsoft Business Applications engagement: scope, design, configuration, integration, and delivery with minimal supervision.

Design solution architecture: which Microsoft products are used, how they connect, and what the non-functional requirements demand: security, performance, scalability, and compliance.

Configure Dynamics 365 (Finance, Operations and/or Supply Chain and/or Business Central modules) to support invoicing, cash collection and logistics operations.

Build Power Apps for operational users (e.g. depot teams, planners, customer service) based on agreed functional designs.

Required Qualifications & Skills

5–10 years of hands-on Microsoft Business Applications experience spanning both functional delivery and technical architecture.

Proven ability to lead client-facing engagements: running workshops, shaping scope, and owning outcomes end to end.

Demonstrated ability to own a workstream end-to-end with clear deliverable accountability.

Deep hands-on Dynamics 365 capability across Finance and Operations and/or Supply Chain Management, at both functional configuration and architecture level.

Integration engineering experience: Azure Logic Apps, Service Bus, API Management, and Power Automate; REST and SOAP APIs.

Working knowledge of Azure Entra ID, RBAC, Conditional Access, and SSO configuration.

Experience establishing ALM pipelines for Power Platform and D365 using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.

Desirable Qualifications

Experience configuring Dynamics 365 CRM apps (Sales, Customer Service, Business Central), including entities, forms, views, business rules, security roles, workflows, and integrations with logistics platforms such as WMS, TMS, freight portals, and 3PL systems.

Prior delivery experience in logistics, freight, or supply chain environments.

Familiarity with EDI, track-and-trace, or real-time shipment data integration.

Microsoft certifications: PL-100, PL-200, MB-210, MB-800, MB-700, or PL-600.

Exposure to Microsoft Fabric, Azure data services, or advanced Power BI.
